I can not believe we have been out of school for 20 years boy how time flies. Well after I left Nicolet I went to Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I partied everyday of the week. My parents received my report card and sent for me to come home. Needless to say I came home unhappy and without direction. I became very restless in Milwaukee because all of my friends were in College so I packed my bags and went to live with my Aunt and Uncle in Dallas, Texas. I worked third shift in a lab testing blood and urine all night. I was bored to death so I decided that I would join The United States Army in the Summer of 1990. I did my reserve training in Fort Dix, New Jersey and Fort Jackson, South Carolina as a reservist. In 1992 I was back in Good Ole Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I met my Husband Kelvin Johnson. We dated, bought a duplex, had a kid, bought a car, got engaged February 14, 1995 and then after all of that got married in Nassau, Bahamas March 18, 1995. If I can back up a moment I did get my undergrad degree from Alverno College in Elementary Education 1999.The running joke with the nuns at Alverno was that I did not have enough homework or something because I managed to get pregnant 3 times while I was at Alverno. When I graduated from Alverno in December 1999 I had 3 sons and a daughter on the way. I did not stop with my undergrad I did pursue my graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction from UW Milwaukee. I also have a certificate in Administrative Leadership also from UW Milwaukee. While in Milwaukee I worked for MPS for 6 years.I held several positions such as: paraprofessional, substitute teacher, 3rd grade intern-teacher and a certified 4th grade teacher. My family and I recently moved to Canton,Georgia July 2006 where I teach fourth grade for Cobb County Schools.I guess we moved just in time because Milwaukee is knee deep in snow.
