I graduated with Elem. Ed. from UWEC, with a minor in Spanish. I studied abroad in Spain, and did my student teaching on the Lac Courte Oreilles reservation in Hayward, WI. I pursued science as a minor as well, after teaching middle school in the Twin Cities. I taught for 8 years, and then decided to try my hand with sales. I still need to finish my Master's in Scienc Ed. with the completion of my paper; kind of challenging when I no longer am teaching.
I met my husband on a week-long, 450 mile bicycle tour of ID. After a long-distance relationship for a year, I sold my house in Mequon; my sales job with Marking Services transfered me to Boise; and now I'm loving life as a newly-wed (August, 2007) in Idaho!
I'm choosing not to have kids of my own, but we do have a blended family of three lovely labradors, three horses, and three adult step-kids. Life is filled with travels, Master's swim team, xc skiing, triathlons, being a Big Sister to a 10 yr. old girl in Boise, Rotary Club, volunteering with our dogs through Therapy Dogs, Inc., and bike adventures.
Don and I recently climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro and have our sights on Mt. Rainier and diving the Great Barrier Reef. I think I'll take up bicycle racing this year. We do a lot of white water rafting and flying.
I live by NPR and we don't watch the TV...no time!!
